Pouchitis: the pouchitis disease activity index (PDAI) according to sandborn

    • The aim is to quantify clinical findings and the endoscopic and histologic features of acute inflammation
    • Scoring is divided into three categories; clinical, endoscopic and histologic all of which have a maximum score of 6 points
    • Patients with a PDAI score < 7 have no pouchitis
    • A PDAI score ? 7 indicates pouchitis
