Endocrine tumors of the pancreas: Clinical picture, diagnosis and therapy

    • Nonfunctioning, or non–hormone producing, tumors account for up to 30% tumor
    • Functional tumors – rest 70 %
    • Sporadic or hereditary syndromes,
    –multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN-1), –von Hippel–Lindau (VHL) syndrome, –tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), –neurofibromatosis 1 (NF-1).
